Academic Consultative Committee
The academic consultative committee is responsible for advising the Senate on academic matters.
The Academic Consultative Committee consists of nominated members from colleges and institutes associated with the University elected on a rotational basis together with appointments made by the Registrar. In the current year the committee is as follows:

Honorary Awards and Titles of the University

Policy Statement
The University may confer degrees as it sees fit. Accordingly the Senate of the University may confer honorary degrees, fellowships and honorary titles. This document covers the conferral of all honorary awards and titles of the University.
The conferral of an honorary degree, fellowship or title is intended to acknowledge
a distinguished contribution made to teaching, research, community activities, the pursuit of learning or the arts or to the community as a whole, inside or outside the University.

Implementation
There shall be seven classes of honorary awards:
Doctor of Letters (DLitt) (honoris causa)
Doctor of Laws (LLD) (honoris causa)
Doctor of Science (DSc) (honoris causa)
Doctor of Education (EdD) (honoris causa)
Doctor of Technology (DTech) (honoris causa)
Doctor of the University (DUniv) (honoris causa)
Fellow of the University (FDMU)
Honorary Fellow of the University (HonFDMU)

There shall be two classes of honorary title:
Emeritus Dean
Emeritus Professor

There shall be one class of special honorary title

Emeritus Prefect
A nomination may be made in respect of these awards by any of the following – the registrar, a member of the Senate of the University, a Professor of the University or
a member of the University Executive. Nominations shall be considered by the Senate. Nominations shall be accompanied by a detailed submission indicating the reason for the nomination.

The Senate may honour any person who has made a distinguished contribution to teaching, learning, the arts, to research, to society in general or to the university.
The award shall be prestigious and not earned easily. The Senate shall require to
be satisfied before recommending a candidate for the award.
The award shall be conferred at a graduation or other suitable ceremonial occasion
at which occasionally the recipient may be invited to deliver an address. The recipient shall be accorded appropriate courtesies and recognition on ceremonial and social occasions. The award does not entitle the recipient to participate in the governing of the University nor to be granted any material benefits by the University.

Doctor of the University (DUniv) (honoris causa)

The Senate may honour any person who has made a distinguished contribution to
the community include service to the University, by conferring such award upon that person. The award shall be prestigious and not earned easily.
The award shall be conferred at a graduation or other suitable ceremonial occasion
at which occasionally the recipient may be invited to deliver an address. The recipient shall be accorded appropriate courtesies and recognition on ceremonial and social occasions. The award does not entitle the recipient to participate in the governing of the University nor to be granted any material benefits by the University.

Fellow of the University (FWCU-London campus)
The Senate may honour any person who has made a distinguished contribution to the community include service to the University, by conferring such award upon that person. The award shall be prestigious and not earned easily.
The award shall be conferred at a graduation or other suitable ceremonial occasion
at which occasionally the recipient may be invited to deliver an address. The recipient shall be accorded appropriate courtesies and recognition on ceremonial and social occasions. The award does not entitle the recipient to participate in the governing of the University nor to be granted any material benefits by the University

Honorary Fellow of the University (HonFWCU-London campus)
The Senate may honour any person other than a staff member who has made a distinguished contribution to the community include service to the University, by conferring such award upon that person. The award shall be prestigious and not earned easily.
The award shall be conferred at a graduation or other suitable ceremonial occasion at which occasionally the recipient may be invited to deliver an address. The recipient shall be accorded appropriate courtesies and recognition on ceremonial and social occasions. The award does not entitle the recipient to

The Senate may honor any former Professor of the University, or any other person who has made a distinguished contribution to the community include service to the University by conferring such award. The award shall be prestigious. In the case of serving professors the award shall not normally be made until after retirement except in exceptional circumstances.
The award shall be conferred at a graduation or other suitable ceremonial occasion
at which occasionally the recipient may be invited to deliver an address. The recipient shall be accorded appropriate courtesies and recognition on ceremonial and social occasions. Emeritus Professors may be entitled to some material benefits at the discretion of the Vice Chancellor
College of Fellows
The College of Fellows is an organization of educationalists and businessmen who promote the interests of the College and support the aims and objectives of the University. They form a body of graduates not all from the University, as suitably qualified graduates from other institutions are also in membership.

The principal role of the College is to assist the University to become self-supporting financially, to support the teaching staff by contributing towards their further education and research.
The College also acts as a networking point for the Fellows who are helping to raise the status level of the University towards greater recognition. Many Fellows invited to serve on consultative committees and to contribute advice.

The College of Fellows is supervised by the Prefect of the College who is elected annually and administered by a Dean. The Prefect reports to the Vice-Chancellor.

The College has a consultative committee drawn from among the Fellows by consent. The Committee reports through the Dean to the Prefect.

The Current Prefect is Prof Dr.Cash Brown,  who is due to retire shortly

A. West Coast University is an international global university registered in Pannam. Expanding Globally for Dual degree courses. WCU is registered and accredited with various organization.
Q. Are you accredited?

A. Being registered does not mean accreditation because only publicly funded universities are granted accreditation in either jurisdiction but the university is nevertheless subject to the laws of these jurisdictions. WCU has been accredited with various different accreditation authorities.

Approval & Decree: West Coast University is duly approved under the decree No.06/72 of the EAI Senate, as an official degree-awarding department (institution) of the World Information Distributed University (WIDU) an entity included in the L'Academie Europeenne d'lnformatisation  (EAI), established in Belgium under the decree of the Belgian King Albert II.
 
Executive Licence: West Coast University is an approved department (institution) of WIDU-.  Licensed by Moscow ( Russian Federation ) to train and award scientific degrees of Doctor of Philosophy and Grand Doctor of Philosophy and approved to act as a world base of educational programs and to facilitate the development of expertise vis educational programs.
 
Full Accreditation: West Coast University   awards Higher Secondary Certificates, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma, Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees. West Coast University is full Accredited by Appointment to the Hon. President of the Grand Council of the SBC Antico Principato di Seborga - Europe - and certified by the SBC Education, Culture and Faith.

Q. What is the legal status of your degrees?

A. WCU degrees are completely legal as they are awarded under the Memorandum and Articles of Association approved by the Registrar of Companies.

Q. Why was the university founded? What is its Vision?

A. The University was established to provide quality education in a market that may at best be described as disadvantaged. The belief and commitment to educate people the world over without any barriers or racial or religious discrimination is the driving force of this University. To promote international education through distance learning or through classroom study, along with associated goals for flexible learning methodology, training, and continuing education to enhance human minds globally.

To be instrumental in developing networks and systems for international education by affiliating educational institutes and training centres in developing countries at global level.

To contribute to the development of new methodologies and technologies applied to internationalization of education and training in order to improve lifelong learning.
To provide facilities and assistance to young generations of developing countries to study similar courses like the people of developed countries through flexible learning methodology.

To provide opportunity to young people to think globally than regionally or just locally to enable them to compete internationally with their international education.

To share good education and internationalization of quality education to assist deserving students of developing nations to study internationally accepted education at their homelands.

Q. Do you run a campus?

A. WCU-London has a campus in London where Local students & overseas may be admitted. The University also operates through learning centres worldwide and these provide a campus based education for our students.

Q. How do you select learning centers?

A. Education representatives, Learning and Facilitation Centres apply to represent us. A senior officer from the university visits the organisation making the request to ensure that it is suitable to represent us not only in terms of affordable educational quality but also in terms of health and safety. We provide recognised learning centres with the University’s syllabi and the appointed learning centres teach it using lecturers and tutors who are vetted by the university.
Q. Dual degree- How does this work?
A. International students get choice to study part or full course in their own country and part or full in our London campus. We are developing our campus globally.
